Successful completion of the Wyakin Warrior program brings with it a commitment for life. For the rest of his or her life, the veteran will always be a Wyakin Warrior, and will never be alone.

The Wyakin Warrior Foundation™ will maintain contact with each graduate through a proactive “reach out and touch” philosophy to check on his or her progress, to gauge job satisfaction, and identify challenges so the right help can be applied.

Through its connections in the business, industry and government communities, the Foundation will act as ready reference site for networking and referrals.

Our hope is that graduates of the Wyakin Warrior program will eventually find themselves in positions to give back to other wounded warriors through mentoring or participating in training seminars.

Building A Spirit Of Service

Men and women join the military for several reasons, but they all share – and have demonstrated – a willingness to serve. That spirit of service doesn’t go away when a warrior is wounded or injured, and we continue that commitment in the Wyakin Warrior program.

Each student veteran will be required to complete a service project for the benefit of other wounded warriors during their time at school. The choice of project is left up to the Wyakin Warrior. Some may choose to help an individual; some may address a challenge experienced by all wounded warriors. Others may get involved in legislation to benefit the wounded warrior community.

The service project not only continues the commitment to serve, but also provides valuable experience in taking on a challenge and working toward a solution. Both will be valuable tools that can be used later in life.

You served. You sacrificed. Now it’s our turn.
